I didn’t have too long on site today, but I’m so glad I had the chance to talk with Koen. I had a couple of fantastic off-camera conversations, but Koen agreed to talk on film. I’m so glad he did. He asked some great questions. I hope I gave him some decent answers. He’s like almost everyone else in our truth-soaked but apathetic culture today. He’s heard about Jesus. He’s heard about the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus a bit, but he really has no idea what Jesus has to do with him at all. Jesus said to men like Koen: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” in Matthew 11:28, but because they have no God-wrought context for even understanding what weighs us down, people don’t “feel” burdened at all. Koen needs a Savior too, but he doesn’t understand from what. I hope he’ll consider the message of Jesus more in his life before it’s too late.
