Christianity is NOT politics, but some politics are incompatible with Christianity. Political affiliation is not salvation, but some of the issues that accompany salvation must guide our affiliations. As Christians, we must line up our politics under our religion. The American system of elections. The ideas of the American model of our representative republic embodies the very height of governmental wisdom. It is a model now seeking to be emulated throughout much of the world. As Christians who live in it, and who appreciate it, we must consider good and evil in relation to all our politics and all our politicians. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." Proverbs 14:34.
