Is the Gospel of Jesus Christ Also a Law?

If you’re like most of us, when you hear the word “law” you think “Old Testament.” And that’s not wrong, but is the Gospel of Christ not also something we dare not violate before God? How does Hebrews and Romans describe it? If it’s something we dare not violate, is there not also a law component to it? Paul says the Christian is not under law but is under grace. How does the New Testament speak of itself in light of such things. Let’s take a look at some passages today and consider whether or not we can also call the Gospel a law.
