1 Peter 1:1-5. An Introduction to Peter's Epistles (2 of 2). (50 min)

This introduction to the epistles was broken up over a two week period. This is part 1 of 2. The audio is a little funky this week. Next week’s is better. Paul writes elsewhere: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6. If we truly believe this, then I believe what we come to see in these first five verses is how the knowledge of God’s election, and the promise of our security in light of it, can help us to live out our faith. This message was a part of a wider series through Peter’s epistles that I preached alongside some fellow chaplains in Germany years ago.
