Jesus' death on the Cross accomplished a great many things. Focusing on each separate facet of it can help us appreciate the whole of it more. We'll briefly talk about this more today. Another question we'll look at is whether or not Jesus did in fact descend into hell between his death and Resurrection. There's a line that seems to indicate that he did in the Apostles' Creed? This will lead us into a talk on the place of creeds and confessions for us today.

Next week, God willing, we'll go from 594.D, "The Extent of the Atonement" through the close of chapter 27 on pg. 603.
