Whether you’re a Jew or a Gentile, God’s promises to you in Christ are entirely yes and are entirely amen. 2 Corinthians 1:20. You can trust everything he’s said. God has never once failed. He simply cannot. Every single one of God’s elect will be saved. He’s got a perfect batting score. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth. The message of the Cross of Christ, the sole propitiation for all of man’s sins, has gone across the globe many times since he rose from the dead and sent us out to proclaim it. It has provoked many to anger. It has provoked many to repentance. In the lives of God’s people, he has brought us the message by preachers. “For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21. Preaching. It is through preaching that God saves. It is the means to his sovereign end. The message is sown like seed in the field. I pray you’ve heard it and I pray that today’s message will settle you to trust in his perfect works in his world.
