Here at the end of this glorious chapter we see the first New Covenant martyr, blessed Stephen. Stephen was put to death for believing what the New Covenant teaches about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. He proclaimed nothing but the faith of his fathers fulfilled in the Cross of his great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We’ll look at parts of Hebrews to help us see what Stephen believed today.
