The Mystery of the Faith. Colossians 1:24-29 (48 min)

Joseph Pittano

A mystery can be paradoxical, but the most amazing use of the word “mystery” in Scripture stands contrary to our common use of the word today and means something like, “Something previously hidden that’s now been revealed.” The now fully revealed Gospel of Jesus Christ is a “mystery” because God brought it to pass over multiplied thousands of years, and explained it in full after he'd brought it to pass. The Gospel is the work of Jesus Christ. The Gospel then becomes to each of us, under that, the forgiveness of our sins. Paul is all about the mystery of the Gospel here today in Colossians 1. He knows that his job from Jesus is to proclaim it both far and wide. I pray you come to appreciate that message more today as you listen.
