James. Part 10. James 2:14-26. Pt. 5
We continue our pause in James 2 to properly ground our teaching in James’ words in vv. 14-26. We’ll talk more today about why and how we can say that we’re saved not by, yet not without works. Those Jesus justifies he sanctifies. If we get grace right, all of our works take their blessed place within it. We can speak of them then as our worship, as the fruit on the branches connected to the vine that honors our God, and as what God uses to ‘justify’ or ‘sanctify’ us in Christ. If we don’t get grace right, we don’t understand Jesus’ works rightly in our salvation. We must not ever in any way boast in light of Calvary. I hope today’s time together is a help to you against ever doing so.
God bless!!!
