To the Saints in Pakistan (24 of 38). Romans 9:25-33

Joseph Pittano

Here is God’s message to you: put your trust in Christ, repent of your sin, and he will have abundant mercy on you. The Gospel that we preach is that God through Christ will reconcile all those who trust in him to himself by faith. This is the love and the message that we proclaim. It’s gone out to both Jew and Gentile alike for nearly two thousand years at this point. It is the fulness of God’s works and plan in redemption toward us and it is being carried out by the hour. Acts 17:30b-31 says, “…God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent, because He has set a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all people by raising Him from the dead.” This includes both you and me, reader. This includes all Jews and all Gentiles. Period. Romans 9 has given us a theology on election. Chapters 8-11 do. If we want to develop a good theology on election we must center ourselves here because it’s here where we have the most detail to follow to preserve us from eisegesis. Paul illustrates the sovereignty of God in it without question. He asks and answers our questions. He gives us several examples in the history of Israel to show his readers that even to them, God’s promises have never, could never, and will never fail. Jesus Christ is Lord. How do you respond?

God bless!!!
