Answering Islam (3 of 3)

In this short three-part series, I’ll give some answers to a few Muslim gentlemen who’ve written to me with certain objections to Christianity. Like many Muslims, they assert that Jesus never claimed to be God, or God’s Son. They try to pin on Paul the invention of a religion they say Jesus (who was a Muslim) never intended. They object that the Bible is a reliable book in history and assert that it has mostly been somehow lost. They reject the crucifixion and subsequent Resurrection of Jesus outright. In all this of course, they reject everything that matters from the Bible as a whole. I’ll give a defense of the biblical position on these matters and more here in this series. I won’t cover every objection that Muslims have raised, of course, but I will answer many.

The Muslim deserves our respect, and our answers to their claims. We should also work to bring them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray I do both here in this series.

The textbook I reference throughout these messages is Dr. James R. White’s, “What Every Christian Needs to Know About the Qur’an.” I highly recommend it. It is an incredible book if you can make the time.
