Eastern Orthodoxy. A Talk with Fr. Jonathan Ivanoff. Part 1

Today, Fr. Jonathan Ivanoff joins me for a talk on some of the concerns he has regarding the Baptist faith. I do my best to offer him a defense of those things, and we also broach upon many subjects of history in this our first talk. I’m answering him, he’s answering me, and back and forth it goes. There are so many things to discuss and debate between us, this is supposed to be a part 1. I'm hoping for a part two and perhaps far beyond that. Do Protestants (Baptists let alone Baptist & Reformed) have fellowship with the section of modern Eastern Orthodoxy Jonathan represents? How do we define fellowship? Are both groups even Christian? Is either? What about the eucharistic doctrines of Real Presence, Memorialism or Romanism’s Transubstantiation? Do Protestants even get the issue regarding the filioque? And what’s up with Baptists and eschatology? These and many other subjects are the kinds we touch upon here in today's talk.
