Christians in the Workplace. Part 3
My friend Chris and I are going to take you through eight weeks of study that I’ll bet 99% of you haven’t embarked upon. We’re going to look at a theology of work together. Understanding the things we’re going to look at together is nothing short of liberating! Reader, there is nothing secular about a thing in the lives of Christians. Your work is part of your worship. We’re using a few books as the basis for our talks during this class, but our primary focus will be on Mr. Jordan Raynor’s book called, “The Sacredness of Secular Work.” There’s a free study guide for the book here: jordanraynor.com/response. This material is life changing.
Work was given to Adam to “tend and to keep” the garden from the start. Doing so would be a part of his worship. This class will help its members gain a greater appreciation for, and understanding of, their work in life as a part of their worship and service to God himself. With two primary texts outside of Scripture as guides, it will also seek to grow students in their ability to live out the Christian Faith at work in service to others in the workplace. We hope you’ll join us each week.
