Systematic Theology. 6. The Authority of the Bible (35 min)
After briefly covering some of the facts about what's called "canonicity", or the talk about how we got our current Bible, it's important to talk about the authoritative claims of that book in the lives of Christians ever since. The Bible grants the churches their authority. Since the writing of the New Testament, literally during the days they were first being written, those authors knew that what they were writing was as authoritative as the Old Testament prophets. The Bible is not only "an" authority; it is "the" authority. If the answers to our questions of faith and life aren't soundly found there they're not really found at all.
