The Christian life is a life of war. The war against sin still at work in our lives. We are not free from the presence of sin. Not yet! Romans 8 contains some of the most sweeping and incredibly gracious words in all the Bible. We might even call it a New Testament Psalm it’s so incredible. We are at war, but it’s actually a war we could not wage unless Jesus had already decisively conquered sin in our lives. All of this is the Gospel. This is a jet tour through a Bible book, like any book, that I'd rather not ever move through so quickly. I got to teach this class many years ago in Louisiana (at a church near Fort Polk) just before a deployment to Afghanistan. It's in the video section of the site as well. I had to move through it quickly being constrained by my timeline.
