The more a preacher trusts in the word of God as sufficient to transform the lives of the hearers the more he’ll lean toward exposition as the standard diet for the church. No preacher is smarter than the Lord himself. Getting out of the way in exposition is the best way we can ensure we’re not bringing our own messages into the pulpit.
