Paul, James, Works, and Protestantism

We Protestants get a little testy when we talk about the role of works in the Christian life. Many of us have seen the perversions of different pseudo-Christianities. We’ve seen the abuses of fundamentalists. We see how carnal it is to trust in oneself at all for salvation. Nonetheless, the Bible speaks clearly about the fruit Christians must bear. We need to get this right. Let’s talk about it.
