Works Glorious Works. A Protestant Examination of the Role of Works in the Christian Life (71 min)

Title: Works Glorious Works. A Protestant Examination of the Role of Works in the Christian Life (71 min)
Message Description:

Protestant theology is not a theology devoid of works. Christian theology opposes a role of works in one’s justification as that would surely negate the Cross of Christ altogether, but Christian theology is a call to a lifetime of works. It’s a call to follow hard after Jesus while looking forward to the day we give an account to him for what we did in life with all that God has given us. Tonight, we’ll take a look at three specific Bible passages that clearly show us some of the motivation for, and theology behind, why we should be “at work” for the Lord in our lives. If you have your Bibles, we’ll look at Matthew 25:14-30, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, and Romans 2:6-10. I hope this message motivates you to take stock of your life tonight, and stimulates you “…to love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24b.

God bless!!!
