Christian, may God richly bless you by this reflection on what it means to speak of his amazing and sustaining grace. In chapter four, sections C and D, of the “Baptist Faith and Message 2000” (a statement of faith I seek to uphold) it says the following:
C. Sanctification is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God’s purposes, and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. Growth in grace should continue throughout the regenerate person’s life.
D. Glorification is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.
I hope these truths are part of what you profess in your life as well. I have seen this at work now for twenty years. I want believers to be bold and bold into eternity. May the assurance of God’s work in your life add to that boldness today as you consider the passages I’ll talk about here.
