Romans Study. 2018. Part 5. 2:17-29

Title: Romans Study. 2018. Part 5. 2:17-29
Message Description:

Scripture says in Psalm 19:7 that, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” It surely does this when understood in Christ. There are so many facets to the Law of God. Even in the Christian life it is by no means without good use. The Law is not of itself anyone’s enemy. It is not evil. Because of sin it becomes an instrument of our judgment, but the Law itself remains holy, just and one-hundred percent good. As we move through the rest of Romans 2 tonight, we’ll see Paul’s use of the Law as a means of direction toward the deep problem of the diagnosis of the sin condition within all of humanity. Within both Jews and Gentiles. This continues building into chapter 3 as we begin to see the full purpose of the Law in the plan of God’s progressive revelation. God bless!
