Rest in Jesus Christ

The rest that Jesus provides is for those who trust entirely in him and the righteousness he came to impute to sinners. This is a brief video to talk about some of the wonderful implications of Hebrews 4 and Matthew 11:28-30. All those who believe, who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus, have absolutely everything they need to be delivered from the wrath to come. Christ has conquered death. Those in him have that same victory. The knowledge of this should consume their minds. They are like passengers on a plane who’ve put on parachutes. They will be surely saved from the jump to come. Only those justified by faith alone have ceased from their works. It is a true rest. A Sabbath rest. An honor. John writes: “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5. What a wonderful privilege it is to call Christ “Lord!”
