Joy Comes From Deliverance

Title: Joy Comes From Deliverance
Message Description:

So many people are depressed today. I know because I talk with them all the time. Why are so many so miserable? We can all identify the surface level kinds of things, but what’s the real, under-lying or overarching reason why so many today, despite all that we have available, are sad? The terrifying answer is that they should be. Dear reader, being cut off from God cannot induce joy. Joy- in such a state- is only maintainable by an avoidance of reality. And Satan is a master of avoidance. If someone is outside of salvation in Jesus Christ, they should be depressed. They should be sad. I don’t want anyone to be, but that sadness might in fact just become a great ally. It’s sad their reality, but they should be sad if they’re made aware of the facts. And they would be if they respected the truth. The world is in fact in many ways a very depressing place. A sad place headed for destruction. But here comes the Faith. Here comes the only real remedy. Jesus said the following in John 5:24: “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” Now, if you knew that this was true in your life. If you knew that you were free from God’s judgment. That heaven was now (today) open to you. Not just that you sort of believed it or had a vain hope (knock on wood kinda thing) in it. No, if you knew by faith and by God’s numerous confirmations that this was one hundred percent certain of you, what would it mean to you today? Part of the answer is that it would fill your days (even the hardest ones) with hope. No matter what, it would stick with you. It would produce in you a hope as certain as the one who granted it. A hope as sure as his Resurrection itself. I would love to help you find that joy in your life today, or even just to help you understand it more.
