The fancy terms are orthodoxy and orthopraxy. Right belief and right living. It must always come in this order. The way God set up the Christian life is that it’s something we learn of to live out. We are disciples of Jesus. He is our teacher. It’s through his word that we’re taught. It is in study and works that we are made more like Jesus. This is called sanctification. We balance doctrine and practice through a consistent life lived in God’s blessing. In it we know that, “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28. I pray this is yours already in life.
