I can’t see stuff like this enough. I’m both humbled and terrified of the God I love and who loves me and made and sustains it all. And that for his renown entered into it as a baby ~2K years ago. Yes, I am a Christian!
All of this space. All of the unfathomable sizes of it illustrate just one Bible verse: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9. Seems extravagant to us perhaps, yes, but, I see it and I get it God. I get it. Only all the more in the technology man has made as beings made in your image. It was nothing for you. All of the heavens get but a brief sentence or so in your book: “…He made the stars also.” Genesis 1:16. But oh, how your love is exhastively displayed in Christ!
Friend, you’ve a life to live. And I pray it’s filled with good things. When it’s over you’ll face the Being who made it all. It is literally measured with the palm of his hand. See Isaiah 40:12. He is holy and filled with wrath against your sin. You have broken his Ten Commandments. His Law is good and calls for your death. You are not a good person in his eyes. Just look at his standard. Let your conscience speak. Without the Cross of Jesus, without a Savior, you will be cut in pieces. His hell is out there.
