Systematic Theology. 20. Providence. Part 2 (58 min)

Title: Systematic Theology. 20. Providence. Part 2 (58 min)
Message Description:

This morning we continued our talk on God’s providence. I stumbled to remember the quote’s origin, but it’s attributed by many to a fellow named Epicurus. It goes: “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” Christians proclaim a sovereign God who not only created, but who also sustains all of his creation. Questions about God’s providence over this world, a world filled with evil, are good questions to have. We need to ask. We’ll talk about evil this morning as a part of this discussion.

Next week we’ll go from 336.5 through 351 or to the end of chapter 16.
