Paul prayed for some of the folks he’d ministered to for years, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe…” Ephesians 1:17-19. Wow!
But just how could they? How could anyone today ever come to truly know such wondrous things?! This kind of prayer is not mere platitude, dear reader/listener. They could grow in their faith in Christ. So can you. They would. I pray you would too. Paul prays for all of this having told them everything about how to go about doing it in their lives. If you love Jesus, have you seen such a reality working itself out in your life? I truly do hope so.
This message today is about God’s ways of building up believers in the Faith.
God moves in mysterious ways.
But not usually.
Repent, pray, study, fellowship.
He tells us that he moves far more often like that.
