I hear a lot of people these days talk about objectivity as a virtue. A lot of people like to claim they have the ability to be objective about everything. Ideas, parenting, politics, philosophy, even religion. They assert that they can examine all of these things objectively. As if the scientific method establishes non-bias in chemicals and man equally. The fact is, if we were objective, if that was how we could examine religions, there’d only be one. Only Christianity would remain on the merits of its chief protagonists. All other claimants, including those who claim nothing specific, you know all these new age gurus who claim they’ve nothing figured out yet tell you not to listen to anyone and find it all for yourself, etc. Jesus rules the landscape.
