It’s a New Covenant. It includes Jews, but it is no longer primarily focused upon them ethnically. Peter has to learn this. All the disciples had to learn this. Paul had to learn this. God taught them. The Holy Spirit’s illumination of these men revealed to them the grand plan of God of exactly how Abraham would become the father of many nations, and a father of all those in Christ. God is redeeming his elect from all four directions of the globe. Peter’s about to learn a lot about that plan today.
