Today, we begin our weekly examination of John’s first epistle. This letter was written around AD 93 from the aged John the Apostle, one of Jesus’ closest disciples. I love hearing from John. We have five letters to hear from him in. This is his first so-called, “General epistle.” That means it’s addressed to no one church, person or audience in particular. Today, in the first four passages we’ll discuss things like the utter uniqueness of Jesus alone in history, Jesus’ Deity, Jesus’ eternality, Jesus’ Gospel and more. I even mention Toby Keith today for crying out loud! This is a weekly workplace Bible study. May you be blessed each week as you listen in.
