What a blessing it is to enter the rest of Jesus Christ! How amazing it is to be able to trust entirely in the grace that's been brought to us by him. We work. We should work very hard to honor our calling and to live our our faith, but our main work is to believe. To trust in Jesus alone. This letter is about Sabbath keeping as a Christian.

Christianity cannot be accurately reduced to just a few basic things. Nonetheless, it’s in no way devoid of propositional truths. This letter is about God's grace in salvation. I affirm that salvation is given by God to sinners everywhere as a gift of his free grace alone through faith alone and not because of a recipient’s goodness or religious works at all. Christians will never have individual merit to boast of in salvation. From start to finish, salvation is by God’s grace alone.

For over three years now I’ve been going line by line through the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 as my devotionals on Biblecia.com. I post them just about every week. As of the date of this letter I’m in section 10 of 32 in that work. Normally they’re just short devotionals. I decided to make this one a brief letter because I’ve been asked about the subject so many times. I pray it’s a blessing to the reader.

The freedom of the will is an important doctrine. It's one I've wrestled a great deal with. I hope I can help shed some light on why understanding it in light of a "grace alone" confession matters here in this letter.

Far too many of us today talk about love very cheaply. Understanding and teaching about the love of God is ultimately the job of the church. The cross is the greatest display of the love of God. We do well to teach it with wisdom while considering our audience.

Denominations are not inherently wrong. They are, after all, denominations and not religions. This letter is about helping us see the adaptation and assistance that any denomination can add to our understanding of the truth by their varying affirmations of the truth.

Idolatry can be a tricky thing. People are idolatrous today to a degree never before seen in history. We must be aware of this sin and how it works to remember our only weapon against it- the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel alone stands as truth in the midst of every lie ever uttered since the creation of the world.

There is a very real devil still at work in the world today. Knowing how and who to fight is important. Many times it's the "isms" we must watch out for in the church.

God is in your growth as a believer for your joy. Rephrase: God is in your growth as a believer for your eternal joy. He will be most glorified at the end of it.

The doctrine of an eternal hell is not anti-Christian. It is Biblical Theology. To learn of God is to learn of it; to learn of it is to learn of God.

It is a great honor to be at work as a laborer in the fields of the Lord. To evangelize is to love one's neighbor properly. God's representatives must be wise and aware of the situtation into which they are sent.

The five points that came out of the Reformed Church, when compared with the whole theology of Calvinism, provide a wonderful consistency and clarity in the Christian faith. This letter is about just a few reasons why I believe in these doctrinal points and why all the petals are on my TULIP.

Christ's love brings freedom to believers. The world, the flesh and the Devil, however, have weapons that distort even this. Love itself is often made worldly. When this happens it becomes a fetter to the disciple who truly wishes to love others. A false love binds and ceases to be love altogether.

Life, death and sin are described in many ways and in many places in Scripture. In Romans 7, key principles are set forth that can help us all to appreciate and articulate how Jesus sets the captive free from sin, Luke 4:18. This article's primary focus is on the marriage metaphors contained in Romans 7:1-6.
